CLARICE ("we," "our," or "us") is a production intelligence platform operated by Inteprods LLC. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use the CLARICE mobile application and web platform. Please read this policy carefully.

2. Information We Collect

• Account Information: Name, email address, and role when you register.
• Production Data: Project details, crew information, budgets, schedules, call sheets, and related production documents you create or upload.
• Usage Data: Pages visited, features used, and interactions within the app to improve performance.
• Device Information: Device type, operating system, and app version for troubleshooting and compatibility.
• Uploaded Files: Documents, contracts, W-9s, and media files you upload to the platform.

3. Device Permissions

CLARICE requests access to the following device capabilities only when you choose to use features that require them. Permission is requested at the time of use — you can decline and the rest of the app remains fully functional.

• Camera (NSCameraUsageDescription): Used when you take a photo directly from within the app to attach to an inventory item (e.g., photographing a camera body or lens for the asset library), capture a crew member headshot, or scan a receipt or document for a petty cash expense, budget line, or vendor invoice. For example, when you tap "Add Photo" on an inventory item and choose to take a new photo, the camera is used to capture that image and save it to the asset record.
• Photo Library (NSPhotoLibraryUsageDescription): Used when you select an existing photo from your device to attach to a crew headshot, inventory item image, equipment photo, or to upload a receipt, W-9, Certificate of Insurance, signed contract, or invoice document. For example, when you tap the upload button on a crew member profile and select a headshot from your Photos app, the photo library is accessed to retrieve and attach that image.
• Document Storage (Files): Used when you select PDF or image files from your device to attach as invoices, contracts, W-9s, COIs, or other production paperwork. For example, when you attach a vendor invoice PDF to a budget line, the file is read from your device and uploaded to the project.

CLARICE does not access your contacts, microphone, location, Bluetooth, calendar, health data, or home automation data. Calendar integration is performed through Google Calendar's web-based OAuth flow and does not access the native device calendar.

4. How We Use Your Information

• To provide, operate, and maintain the CLARICE platform
• To manage your account and authenticate your identity

• To send transactional communications (e.g., call sheets, crew notifications)
• To improve our platform through analytics and usage patterns

• Team Members: Other users within your production team as part of collaboration features.
• Service Providers: Third-party vendors (e.g., payment processors, cloud storage) who assist in operating the platform under strict confidentiality agreements.
• Legal Requirements: When required by law, court order, or governmental authority.

6. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored securely using industry-standard encryption in transit and at rest. We implement technical and organizational measures to protect against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction of your data. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

7. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us. Certain data may be retained for legal or financial compliance purposes.
